Join us for a walk about town to visit the sites of several haunted pubs and hear stories of death, mayhem, and lingering spirits from our expert storytellers. Visiting these haunted building sites with your guide will give you a different perspective of this quiet little village and help you plan your evening drinking adventures. This is not a pub crawl but a Haunted Happy Hour Tour so the number of places we go inside are limited. You will have an opportunity to purchase a drink from two establishments we visit although it is not required. We will spend approximately 25 minutes at each location where you may obtain alcoholic beverages. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at these locations. Drink costs are not included in the ticket price. Please drink responsibly.
On a typical tour you will visit the sites where:
a Clipper Ship Captain still visits Bar Harbor over 150 years after ship and crew were lost at sea.
a pub site now resides in a building with a menacing presence.
the building used to be both a brothel and a speakeasy during its heyday.
a former high-class private club hosted many of Bar Harbor's elite Summer Colony guests.
Hear stories from Bar Harbor's Rum Running past as well as a dozen spirits!
BUT THAT IS NOT ALL!
GO INSIDE a modern sports pub where you will look down onto the very street corner where an Irish maid was abducted and taken away for weeks of torture. (Drinks available for purchase at this location)
GO INSIDE a former speakeasy in the basement of a local historic theatre where staff members hear footsteps and are sometimes even touched by unseen hands. (Drinks available for purchase at this location)
GET A COPY of Bar Harbor Ghost Tours signature cocktail recipe. We call it "Watcher in the Woods" and if you've been on our nightly ghost tour at 8pm you'll know why!
Although we don't guarantee you will see a ghost you may be one of the lucky few to capture photographic images of orbs or apparitions in various tour locations. Check our Evidence Page to see what other tour guests have encountered or caught on camera.
