Job Title: Tour Guide - Bar Harbor Ghost Tours

Position Overview: We are seeking passionate and knowledgeable individuals to join our team as Tour Guides. As a Tour Guide at Bar Harbor Ghost Tours, you will have the opportunity to immerse guests in the intriguing history and paranormal lore of the area, including Acadia National Park and the broader New England region. This position requires flexibility, as tours primarily take place during evenings and weekends. This is a great second job! No relocation expenses and no housing provided.

Responsibilities:

• Lead engaging and informative tours, showcasing the rich history and ghostly tales of Bar Harbor and its surroundings.

• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience.

• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the area, including Acadia National Park, Maine, and New England.

• Share the cultural heritage and history of the Wabanaki People with respect and accuracy.

• Continuously learn and stay updated on relevant historical and paranormal information to enhance tour quality.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants throughout the duration of the tour.

• Handle inquiries, provide recommendations, and address guest concerns in a professional manner.

  
  

Requirements:

• Must have a deep knowledge of the Bar Harbor area, including Acadia National Park, Maine, and New England.

• Demonstrated passion for history, storytelling, and the paranormal.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Willingness to learn and convey the history and culture of the Wabanaki People with sensitivity and respect.

• Theatrical experience a plus.

• NAI certification is a plus, but not required. Willingness to obtain certification if not already possessed.

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is advantageous. Hourly pay bump available for the ability to deliver tours in ASL.
